Former AGs Want Ex-Ala. Gov.’s Bribery Sentence Tossed

More than 100 former state attorneys general have signed on to an amici brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn former Alabama governor Don Siegelman’s six-and-a-half-year sentence for bribery, saying acquitted conduct should not be used to increase a criminal sentence as it was in Siegelman’s case.
