Ex-NOVA Bankers Ask Judge To Nix Fraud Conviction

After expressing open skepticism at trial about the strength of the government’s case, a Pennsylvania federal judge heard arguments Thursday urging him to acquit the leaders of the now-defunct NOVA Bank after their conviction in April for allegedly deceiving regulators into making an investment under the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
