ESMA Opens Consultation To Clean Up Benchmarks Regulaton

The European Securities and Markets Authority said Monday it is seeking input on technical implementation of a regulation to improve the reliability of benchmarks — tools used to price mortgages, loans and bonds — which have been the subject of rigging scandals in recent years, leading to billions of dollars in fines.
